Dr. James Romano's
Philosophy of Patient Care
Patients deserve not only the best possible medical
care, but must be treated with dignity and respect.
Dr. Romano sees patients whose needs are
related in any way to the field of Plastic, Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery.
He takes a comprehensive approach to all patients. Careful assessment of the
patient's perceptions, motivations, and expectations is combined with a close
examination of the anatomy. Attitudes, lifestyle, exercise and nutritional
practices are systematically reviewed.
Patients are totally prepared for their
surgery. This may include skin care, nutrition, vitamins, exercise, body image
counseling and other referrals. With gentle and informed guidance, Dr. Romano
leads his patients through:
- The importance of integrating body, mind, and spirit.
How Cosmetic Surgery supports your total well being
goals.
How other issues in your life - exercise, diet, stress
management and work may complement cosmetic surgery through proper balance.
How to preserve your cosmetic surgery results.
All of this information is then combined to provide a
highly individualized treatment plan that is safe and predictable. Your
diagnosis and options for treatment are patiently and completely explained.
The patient and their desired results are always the
primary concern. Dr. Romano and his concerned staff always insist on
personalized and consistent follow-up and care.
