About Us

I have been involved in plastic surgery patient education since 1998!  Many of you may know me from the YesTheyreFake.net website, which is where I met Heather more than 10 years ago!   I research the procedures and write the content for the websites and continue to support patients through our discussion forum.   Heather and I are great friends and we have both been committed to supporting patients throughout their cosmetic journeys.

I live in sunny, Southern California and when I am not researching or speaking with patients.  I have had tumescent liposuction and fat grafting, among other procedures, which I have documented throughout the years. Through experience I am quite knowledgeable about preparation, recovery and also know what it is like when things don't go according to plan.   If you have any questions or suggestions for content, please feel free to contact me at any time.

You may know me on the forum by my username, Halo.  I’m in my early thirties and I’m a mother of three extraordinary children.  My passion is anything that involves nursing.  I enjoy working in the home health care environment and providing post-operative care at skilled nursing facilities.  I’m in school being trained to one day become the superwoman of nurse practitioners. 

My philosophy is a very cheesy Be The Best That You Can Be.  I aspire to be the kindest, most compassionate, creative and productive person possible.  I believe in taking excellent care of both the people around me and of myself.  I enjoy trying to look and feel the best that I can.  I think everyone is capable of betterment and that some of the greatest joys in life can be found in that pursuit.  Not only have I experienced working in the nursing field, I’ve spent time as a patient during both cosmetic and non-cosmetic surgical procedures.  I’ve had a breast lift, breast augmentation, liposuction, lip augmentation with various fillers and a handful of other procedures performed successfully.  My goal is to help other patients like myself have the most satisfactory experience possible.  I have thoroughly enjoyed my adventures in plastic surgery and look forward to conversing with everyone who shares my interest.
